We are so excited to invite you to our retreat at the gorgeous Cocoon this Spring! A transformative blend of dynamic and restorative yoga, adventure and relaxation set against the spectacular backdrop of Portugal’s Silver Coast.

Sammi, Paul and Alice will be bringing together their individual yoga styles and training to bring you a unique experience. In between practice, there will be plenty of time to enjoy nourishing food, explore the stunning coastline, hike, swim, surf or relax in a hammock and take it all in.

Time and space to deepen your practice, immerse yourself in nature and reconnect. You’ll leave transformed, with a newfound sense of inner balance and clarity.

Choose the full retreat experience (departing on 14th March) or a long weekend getaway (departing on 12th March).

The Location

Cocoon is the perfect escape, just two hours south of Lisbon and even closer to Faro. Public transport is available from the airport however hiring a car (either solo or part of a group) is highly recommended so you can explore the beaches and villages!

The Experience

Arrive at Cocoon late afternoon on Saturday, ready to settle in and familiarise yourself with the surroundings.

Cocoon is a coastal farm and dedicated retreat centre situated in the Alentejo region of Portugal, with majestic scenery, stunning trails and untouched beaches nearby. The coast is just a short drive away and ideal for swimming, surfing, and hiking along the beautiful sandstone bluffs.

The Practice

Dynamic and gentle yoga classes will be offered every day in one of Cocoon’s beautiful and fully equipped yoga shalas. We will be offering Rocket yoga with Sammi, Awakening yoga with Paul and embodied movement and yin with Alice. The classes will be designed for all levels of experience and you can join as many as you wish. We will be offering an inversion workshop for a chance to brush up on skills and you can also book a 1:1 yoga session for an additional cost during your stay.

The Schedule

Between classes, there will be plenty of time to explore the grounds, relax in a hammock, go wild swimming in the lake, hike along the bluffs, paddle board, surf, explore a beach or take a walk through one of the local villages. We will also be offering a personalised holistic massage with Alice as part of your retreat package.

Sammi has experienced the transformational power of yoga, and her mission is to share its healing benefits with others. She is inspired by the discipline of practice and the meditative state that can be created through synchronising breath and movement. She is passionate about Ashtanga Vinyasa and Rocket Yoga and believes in incorporating different movement styles to enhance and elevate the practice.

Paul

Paul teaches Awakening Yoga which is a progressive yoga system with an emphasis on ritual and self inquiry. He welcomes everyone to class and seeks to offer a complete practice that encourages personal exploration, potentiality, and freedom of movement. Mind and body are connected and Paul believes that a consistent, physical practice can positively impact other areas of your life and wellbeing.

Alice

Alice first came to yoga with a curious mind and a love of creative expression through movement. She believes that our bodies are our greatest teacher and if we can begin to tune in and feel our way into our physical selves we can experience being present in each moment. Alice’s classes offer an empowering space to breathe and move, encouraging soulful, embodied practice that nourishes daily life.

Terms & Conditions

Exclusions

Please note that travel insurance, flights, transport, car hire, 1:1 yoga classes, extra activities (such as surfing and paddle boarding) and alcohol are not included within the retreat package.

Payment terms

The deposit confirms your place on the retreat. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. The first payment (half the remaining balance) is due 8 January. The second payment (the remaining balance) is due 8 February.

Refund conditions

If you have paid in full and need to cancel, the following applies: More than 8 weeks before the start of the retreat: 100% refund less deposit. 4 to 8 weeks before the start of the retreat: 50% refund less the deposit. Up to 4 weeks before the start of the retreat: No refund will be given.
